The National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and seven Ethnic Armed Organizations have agreed to hold an informal discussion before the end of March.

Seven NCA-signatory EAOs including RCSS, PNLO, ALP, DKBA, KNU/KNLA PC, LDU, and NMSP demanded and requested in recent months to meet with the NSPNC through informal means.

The seven EAOs held a meeting on 11 March regarding holding the informal discussion, the spokesperson of the negotiation team Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt told NP News.

The formulation of the multiparty democratic system; building a federal and democratic Union; and constructing the Union peace will be discussed in the informal meeting.

“It won’t involve heavy issues in the discussion. It will be involved in the discussion about the formulation of the multiparty democratic system; building federal and democratic Union, and constructing the Union peace,” Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt said.

The abovementioned seven EAOs are also the members of Peace Process Steering Team that are working to hold peace talks to solve the current conflict in Myanmar.
