Army Chief declares 13b MMK of internal donation received for Mocha victims

A total of more 131,810 lakhs of MMK was received for the victims of Cyclone Mocha by the domestic entrepreneurs and donors, the State Administration Council (SAC) declared this morning.
Amongst, family of the Defense Services donated 10,000 lakhs of MMK, according to the information released by the SAC.
The Chairman of the State Administration Council received the donations yesterday at the Yangon Region Command. Business tycoons and donors from all walks of life attended the donation ceremony.
During the event, the Army Chief said that there were damages in Rakhine State, Chin State, Sagaing Region and some areas of Ayeyawady Region.
He remarked, “The donors offer these donations with pure good merit although nobody drives them to donate and asks for.”
A business person who donated in yesterday event told NP News that “The donors offered financial supports for the cyclone victims and disaster affected areas. At first, there were only 10 or 15 donors. Then, there were more and more donors. Some donated 5,000 lakh and 4,000 lakh of MMK.”
