Army Chief immediately visits to Mocha disaster areas in Rakhine

The Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) as well as the Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, visited the Mocha disaster affected area in Sittwe township, Rakhine State on May 15.

He made the visit within few hours just after the Mocha swept the Rakhine State on May 14.

Government received more than 13b MMK donation for the resettlement and rehabilitation programs of the Cyclone Mocha. Amongst, 7b MMK was provided for rescue and aid programs, as per the government’s announcement.

The Cyclone Mocha made landfall in Rakhine coastal region on May 14. The whole city of Sittwe was left damages and wrecks.

As per official data and recorded photos, five dead in the deadly disaster.
