5 NCA-S-EAOs, NSPNC to meet in Naypyidaw for 3 days

It is reported that five groups from the NCA signatory EAOs and the National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) are going to meet for peace talk in Naypyidaw commencing from 26th June for three days.

The five NCA-S-EAOs will involve KNU/KNLA-PC, Arakan Liberation Party, Lahu Democratic Union, Pa-O National Liberation Organisation and Democratic Karen Buddhist Army.

Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt from the KNU/KNLA-PC said “Five out of seven from the NCA-S-EAOs agreed to attend together to the meeting invited by the NSPNC. The rest, NMSP and RCSS, aren’t ready to join together with us. However, they will go separately later. The meeting will be held on 26th, 27th and 28th June in Naypyidaw.”

On 17th June, seven NCA signatory groups conducted a meeting and five other agreed to attend the upcoming event invited by the NSPNC.

Although the NSPNC didn’t mention the topics to be discussed in the invitation letter, the attending groups aim to talk matters related to humanitarian aid, peace progress and 23 federal policies, Col. Saw Kyaw Nyunt said.
