Myanmar Rice Federation announces selling 2oo,000 rice bags into market

The Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) announced yesterday (on 7th August) that nearly 200,000 rice bags including 50,000 bags of reserve rice will be sold in the market this month.
Therefore, the federation will inject a total of 170,000 rice bags including 50,000 bags of reserve rice, 100,000 bags of El Ma Hta rice, and 20,000 bags of Pawsann rice in various types into the market within August, according to the announcement.
What is more, the Federation is selling various kinds of Pawsann and El Ma Hta rice at low prices starting from August 7th at Lanmadaw-Wahdan Rice Depot and Bayintnaung Rice Depot.
The MRF also announced the plan to sell rice through mobile shops around some townships in Yangon and online.
In response to the public request, the federation also plans to sell in grassroots places such as Hlaing Tharyar, Shwe Pyi Thar, Insein, Dagon (south/north), Dala, Twantay, Mhawbi, Mingalardon in Yangon.
Associations affiliated with the Myanmar Rice Federation such as rice export companies, rice mills, and rice traders will cooperate to stabilize the price of rice and try to sell the rice to the public at an affordable price in August and September.
