Myanmar to collaborate with Indian universities for initiating six doctorate-level subjects at Naypyidaw State Academy

According to the information released by the State Administration Council, bilateral discussion is being held to cooperate with Indian universities to offer six new doctorate-level subjects at the Naypyidaw State Academy.

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe addressed it during his meeting with Indian Ambassador H.E. Mr. Vinary Kumar at the Minister's office in Naypyidaw on 4th September.

In addition, both sides discussed collaboration between five universities from Myanmar and small and medium enterprises from India for enhancing the capacity of Myanmar universities.

Discussion also involved the matters relating to granting scholarships for subjects such as ICT, AI, Marine Science, Microbiology, English Language Teaching, Business Management, Teachers Training, and other vocational fields.

Furthermore, over the past few months, they have extensively discussed mutually beneficial cooperation in transnational transportation and power grid construction.

The Naypyidaw State Academy was inaugurated on November 9, 2022. With over 2400 academic and faculty members, the faculties of Master's level programs in Science, Arts, Law, Economics, Medicine, Social Sciences, and Sports are now commencing their operations.
