According to Muse residents, there are thousands of people waiting to go to China through Muse, Shan State.

The Nan Daw, Sin Phyu and Mang Wein border gates at Myanmar-China border allowed temporary border pass card (TBP) system since September 4.
After the allowance of the TBP system, thousands of travelers from central Myanmar came to muse and waiting in line to enter China, according to the Muse residents.
“Thousand numbers in Muse are waiting for entering China at present. Those are from central Myanmar, mostly from Sagaing and Magway. All came to find job opportunities in China due to the political unrest and struggle of living,” one of the Muse residents to NP News.
Currently, all guest houses in Muse are full and some charity teams also provide aids for temporary living, as per reports.
Myanmar-China border gates issue only 200 tickets for TBP system to allow passing. Due to the long queuing line of visitors waiting at the gates, instead of the queuing system, the relevant officials are using a token system and issuing cards for TBP.
It is reported that the cost of traveling through Muse to China with a one-time-use TBP card is only 500 kyats for a book and 500 kyats for toll, totaling only 1000 kyats.
Entry and exit through the Myanmar-China border has been blocked since the outbreak of the Covid-19 in 2020, and now, the entry and exit been allowed again.
