Over 720 million kyats valued stimulant tablets seized in Yangon

A total of 720,000 stimulant tablets worth 720 million kyats were seized in Shwe Pyi Thar and Mingalardon townships in Yangon on September 14, according to the Anti-narcotic Division of the Myanmar Police Force.
Five were captured in Shwe Pyi Thar together with a saloon car and 2 million tablets.
As per further investigation, another 520,000 tablets were captured again at a residential house located in the No. 3 Ward of Shwe Pyi Thar Township. Therefore, the seized stimulant tablets became 720,000 tablets in total, according to the police.
As per the criminals’ confession, those drugs were carried from Southern Shan state to Yangon.
