Myanmar, China discuss increasing border gates and cooperation in immigration processes

It is reported that Myanmar and China discussed increasing border gates and boosting cooperation in the immigration processes bilaterally.
Union Minister for Immigration and Population Myint Kyaing participated in the ceremony of the 2023 Global Public Security Cooperation Forum held in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, China on 20 September and met with Mr Wang Xiaohong, State Councillor of the People’s Republic of China and Minister of Public Security.
During their talk, both sides discussed the long-term friendship between the two countries, regional security, tranquility and communication of the people of the two countries, according to the news released by the State Administration Council.
Extending border gates, cooperation in immigration processes, and eliminating illegal passing across the border gates, drug smuggling, human trafficking and online game smuggling were highlighted during the talk.
