Tun Mon Thet (NP News) – Nov 27

It has been exactly a month since ‘Operation 1027’ was commenced by insurgents in the northeast of Myanmar, Shan State. However, the clashes gradually become sparse though the terrorist side ‘The National Unity Government’ claims D-Day would be launched today under ‘Operation 11-27 Nationwide’.

The Kokang insurgents Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) led an offensive military assault in the northeast part of Shan State providing the reason that they attacked the region to combat the online scams in the Laukkai region.

Other crimes associated with the cyber scams in the region involve many transnational organized crimes, murder, drug smuggling, human trafficking, selling internal viscera, and extracting blood.

The issue isn’t just a transboundary crime between Myanmar and China. Of course, crimes happened and were based on the land of Myanmar territories, however, the committed criminals aren’t clear whether Chinese or Taiwanese but no Myanmar nationals involved are a hundred percent sure.

When talking about cyber scams on Myanmar land, the world shouldn’t neglect the major semiconductor manufacturer ‘Taiwan’ – a fishbone to the People’s Republic of China, scholars remarked. There is no doubt that semiconductors play an essential in the military system.

Since the world order is changing from one pattern to another and then next, we can’t just see global security only under unipolar, bipolar, or multipolar. There is another that moves a skyrocket upward in global affairs mostly beyond effectively tackled by the governments. It is the technopolar or the digital world order, scholars pointed out.

In fact, the ancestors of the pro-American Taiwanese were those who invaded Myanmar’s northeast part in the bygone era in the 1950s.

Another interesting point is here. There were rumours spread through social media, especially in Myanmar society that Chinese citizens were mad at Myanmar citizens due to the recently staged ‘No More Bets’ which portrays cyber scams in the northeast part of Myanmar and the victims were the Chinese in the film. However, reports said the majority of Chinese citizens see it as just a movie and not so much bad feelings to the Myanmar citizens.

It is observed that the move or initiating to hate Myanmar among the Chinese is propaganda. That may be the West bloc’s technician society’s propaganda behaving as a catalyst to contaminate China-Myanmar Pauk-Paw relations.

Here, the weapons seized by the Myanmar authorities from Kokang insurgents were labelled ‘made in China’ obviously. With regard to this, the Information Team leader of the State Administration Council Major General Zaw Min Tun remarked that as manipulations to stir bilateral relations between Myanmar and China.

A think tank that advises the union-level leaders remarked, “Of course, the drones that the insurgents use are China-made. However, other equipment has to be installed individually. Therefore, the whole set of drop bombs isn’t armed only by China. Another thing we have to consider is somehow similar to the West's desire. It is an interesting fact too.”

On the other hand, it is obvious that Naypyidaw and Beijing collaborate to tackle effectively the northeast conflict of Myanmar under deliberate diplomatic means.
