The local media stated that India’s Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma reportedly promoted a friendly tie with the Rakhine terrorist group ‘Arakan Army’ when he met with the Chin community in Indianapolis, the United States on 4 September 2024.

The Arakan Army, in fact, was declared as the terrorist group by the State Administration Council on 2 September.

Sharing the same blood with tribes of Chin in Myanmar such as Mizo and Lushai, the Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma – who once took shelter in Myanmar’s Chin State in some bygone years when he protested against the Indian government as an underground rebel – showed off himself as one of them or the sense of togetherness with Myanmar’s Chin insurgent entities was quoted as saying “The military council will be happy if we are fighting each other. So, we must make friends with the Arakan Army.” (The military council – is the term the opponents and terrorist groups in Myanmar usually refer to the Myanmar government.)

As per the reports, he also highlighted to deepen cooperation between religious organizations and civil society organizations.

The Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), a regional party allied by six with similar common grounds and ideology, advocates for secularism by believing in Christianity. The ZPM is deemed to be considered as the political alternative to the Mizo National Front or the Mizo Famine Front which the current Mizoram Chief Minister led in his underground rebel life.

What is more, it is learned that the Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma was involved in or led the bank robbery of Myanma Economic Bank (MEB) in Falam Township back in the 1970s when he took shelter in the mountainous territory of Myanmar’s Chin State.

The recently overthrown Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina disclosed an alleged conspiracy to develop a Christian state similar to East Timor, by a foreign country, on the land owned by Myanmar and Bangladesh where territories are connected with the Indian border – the Mizoram Province.

Located in a strategic position, Myanmar is situated as the focal point between South Asia and Southeast Asia. Holding up Myanmar no to disintegration pivots in regional affairs and security in this era of escalating non-traditional security threats not only the traditional ones. Had disintegrated Myanmar, would it have been a problem for South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the regional countries in peace, stability, and security matters.

On the other hand, the terrorists ‘Arakan Army’ commit various war crimes against humanity and human dignity involving massacres, destroying villages on a full-fledged scale, and extrajudicial killings, especially against Bengalis. In point of fact, the Bengali issue under ‘humanitarian’ and the ‘genocide’ topics are the usual cards of choice of the West bloc, the United Nations, or the deep state whenever to put pressure on Myanmar or to exert manipulations.

Astonishingly, the West propagandists still keep silent on human rights abuse against the Bengalis by the vicious Arakan Army in this time conflict, especially in 2024.

The Arakan Army set ablaze the Bengali villages in Rathedaung and Buthidaung; and killed no-armed Bengali civilians, children, and women extrajudicially in their conquering of the towns and cities after the withdrawal of Myanmar Tatmadaw units from the regions.

Also on 8 February 2024, the vicious Arakan Army slaughtered two naval vessels that carried the retreated Tatmadaw units’ families, children, and wounded personnel. The attacked naval vessels involved only a few armed, not more than ten military personnel who were only for safeguarding the vessels, and all the rest were only children, women, wounded personnel, and medical officers. An estimated 900 individuals were brutally slaughtered in that Kaladan River massacre by the Arakan Army.

The Arakan Army is such a war criminal armed force. Last but not least, the Arakan Army Chief Twan Mrat Naing reportedly owns houses and bank accounts in Switzerland.
