Phyo/ Cherry (NP News) - June 3
According to the statement from the State Administration Council (SAC), PDFs burned down the houses of innocent residents in Nyaungshwe Township, southern Shan State.
The SAC has stated that terrorist organizations such as CRPH, NUG, and PDF are carrying out armed violence in some areas, blowing up roads and bridges, and burning down homes occupied by the public with the aim of undermining the country's peace and stability and the rule of law.
While operations were ongoing, on the afternoon of June 2, security personnel conducting necessary security duties in Nyaungshwe Township encountered members of the KNDF and PDF near Phaya Taung Village. A clash broke out during this encounter.
According to the official statement, as KNDF and PDF forces could no longer withstand the counterattack, they deliberately set fire to local civilian homes in the village to facilitate their retreat and then fled toward the southern part of the village.
The SAC has announced that it is working with local security forces to identify and arrest the terrorists who burned down the homes of innocent villagers in the above incident and to provide necessary security measures.
