Myanmar, Russia to cooperate in railways, aircraft sectors

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC), said there is potential for cooperation between the railway and aircraft factories in Myanmar and the Buryatia region of Russia.
During a visit to the Ulan-Ude LVRZ locomotive and carriage repair plant in Buryatia, Russia, the SAC Chairman and the Governor of Buryatia met, and the SAC Chairman responded to questions from local media outlets including Arigus, ATV, and Tivicom by making the above comments.
“I visited the railway factory, and I also visited the aircraft factory earlier. These are potential areas where our two sides can cooperate. Moreover, Buryatia has Buddhist residents, and since Myanmar is also a Buddhist country, there is potential for cooperation related to Buddhism as well. There are also opportunities for cooperation in the health sector. In addition, the Prime Minister has extended an offer regarding educational cooperation,” said the SAC Chairman.
In addition, there will be cooperation in education, and there will be discussions and implementation of agricultural-related activities, and there are many areas to be implemented, said the SAC Chairman.
During his visit to Buryatia, the SAC Chairman was asked by local media about the beauty and cleanliness of the region. “I am very happy to be here. It is a beautiful region, and I feel like I am coming to an environment similar to Myanmar. This is my third visit, and I feel very close to my country here. I will try to come again,” the SAC Chairman replied.
The Buryatia State Governor also said, “We hope to implement many cooperation projects with our state and Myanmar. In the past few years, we have been registering Rapid Bio to import our pharmaceutical products to Myanmar. Our helicopters, manufactured by our Ulan-Ude helicopter factory, have been in use in Myanmar for many years now. We are currently using them, and in the future, we plan to do many cooperation projects in the field of helicopter transportation.”
In addition, the Buryatia State Governor said that during the tour, TMH Holding Company explained their products and that there are plans to discuss cooperation with Myanmar in these areas in the future. –
