SAC’s chair meets RCSS/SSA’s chair led team for peace

Peace negotiation team led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the representative group of Restoration Council of Shan State/ Shan State Army (RCSS/SSA) led by the chairman of the RCSS/SSA General Yawd Serk met for peace in Naypyidaw on May 20 at the office of the SAC.
Vice-chair of the SAC Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Minister of Defence Ministry Lieutenant General Mya Tun Oo, and the SAC member Lieutenant General Yar Pyae attended.
Secretary (1) the RCSS Colonel Sai Ngin attended together with General Yawd Serk.
Both parties have not yet released information about the discussion.
Restoration Council of Shan State/ Shan State Army (RCSS/SSA) is the first group of ethnic armed forces discussing with the SAC in this current peace process invited by the Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on April 22.
The SAC will be meeting with other EAOs listed attending the peace talk separately in the coming days.
