SAC, RCSS agree to exercise multi-parties and federalism

Chairman of the State Administration Council and Restoration Council of Shan State/ Shan State Army (RCSS/SSA) having a common goal thus agreed to build the union based on federalism by practicing a multi-parties democracy system, according to the announcement released by the SAC.

SAC’s negotiation team led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and RCSS’s team led by the RCSS chair General Yawd Serk met on May 20 in Naypyidaw at Bayintnaung Venue.

Plans for systematic drafting of time schedules and detailed agenda of the peace process after all EAOs met with the SAC’s Chair were discussed during the meeting.

The RCSS chairman General Yawd Serk will continue meeting and discussing with the peace negotiation team organized by the SAC members; and National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Committee led by Lieutenant General Yar Pyae.

Vice-chair of the SAC Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Minister of Defence Ministry Lieutenant General Mya Tun Oo, Lieutenant General Moe Myint Tun, and the SAC member Lieutenant General Yar Pyae attended.

Secretary-1 Sao Sai Ngin and Central Executive Sao Saung Han attended together with General Yawd Serk.
