The Interactive Dialogue on the report of the Office the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNCHR) on Myanmar – a sovereign state - at the 51st session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva on September 22.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar released a press statement yesterday (September 23) in response to the UN’s report and attempt to intervene Myanmar based on the one-sided and biased information with the UN’s owned narratives.

“Myanmar never recognizes such politically motivated country-specific resolutions and the mandate of the Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on Myanmar (FFM) since their establishment,” the MOFA clearly stated.

The so-called independent international fact-finding mission on Myanmar is just an effort to manifest politicization and interventionist approach to manipulate a sovereign state under the pretext of human rights.

As a matter of fact, the OIC sponsored United Nations and its affiliate representative intentionally neglect and support the terror deeds committed by NUG and the NUG-installed PDF killing civilians, civil servants from education and health ground, and Buddhist monks.

Supporting terrorists by the UN and the west group is pushing Myanmar into utter devastation instead of trying to nurture democracy in Myanmar, the MOFA said.

“The Special Rapporteur should abide by the Code of Conduct for Special Procedures Mandate-holders and core principles of the Human Right Council,” the ministry expresses.

Myanmar firmly opposes using human rights by the UN and its allied entities as a political tool to interfere in other countries’ internal affairs and humiliating the sovereignty of the State.

Neutral and unbiased local news outlets daily report terror acts committed by destructive groups nationwide especially in Yangon, Sagaing, Magwe, Tanintharyi regions and Mon State.

There are many terror incidents across the country that are beyond reach of reporters and journalists.
