Weapons seized from suspicious vehicle in Shwebo

Launchers, ammunition, and bombs were seized in Shwebo, #Sagaing Region when the security forces inspected the vehicles on the ring road in Shwebo, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

The incident happened on November 21 at an estimated 5 pm in Shwebo township. The information was received that a suspicious vehicle was driving on the ring road; therefore, the security forces were waiting to stop the NISSAN ELGRAND (light-colored vehicle) with no license plate, which carried five #terrorists, according to the police.

The suspected vehicle didn’t stop and drove away into the compound of Thuzatarama Monastery through Moo Boung Road next to the Shwe Bo Car Complex in Thiri Mingalar Ward No. (6), Shwebo Township.

Terrorists get out of the car and escaped, according to the police.

The security forces searched the vehicle then. A total of two launchers, eight bombs with detonators, three hand-made launchers, one weapon box and one ICOM walkie-talkie were captured.

Authorities are investigating the terrorists who escaped in the incident.
