Man Shwe Set Taw pagoda festival to commence on January 25

The Golden Footprints pagoda, also known as the #Man_Shwe_Set_Taw pagoda festival will be started on coming 25 (5th waxing moon day of Tabodwe of Myanmar lunar calendar).
The festival will be held for three months and ended on April 17 (Myanmar new year).

A total of 30 short-haul transport buses will be serviced during the festival period between Minbu-Shwe Set Taw up and down of the Shwe Set Taw mountain in Minbu District, Magwe Region, the Magwe Region Government said.

The buses will be running between 6 am to 6 pm starting from the bus shelter at cycle road gate located in Myaukhlekauk of Minbu city.

Starex and Vongo type small vehicles will be running with ten numbers for Minbu-Shwe Set Taw; other 20 vehicles will be running up and down transportation of the mountain. Passenger-vehicles will be added in case of shortage during the festival.

Transportation charges will be 6000 Ks. each from Minbu to Shwe Set Taw and vice versa. For the uphill and downhill trip, it will cost 1000 Ks. for the former while 500 Ks.
