NSPNC moans on assassination of ALP Chief and two officers

The National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (#NSPNC) offered condolences to its peace dialogue partner Arakan Liberation Party (#ALP) for its losses of the chief of staff and two army officers.

The Chief of Staff of the ALP Khaing Soe Mra, and two officers of the ALP Khaing Kyaw Soe and Khaing Thurain were assassinated on January 4 on their way back from the Independence Day ceremony.

In the NSPNC’s letter of condolences, it delivered the message that it is a sorrowful event to lose such the peace dialogue partners from the ALP who are working together with the State in delineating long lasting peace and materializing the Union based on democratic and federal values.

The ALP is one of the ethnic armed forces that join the peace talks invited by the Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing; and currently conducting negotiations with the NSPNC.

The ALP accused the Arakan Army (#AA) of the assassinations but the AA denied responsibility for it.
