Myanmar sets new health rules at border gates with Thai

The #Ministry_of_Health made an announcement concerning with the travelers entering from #Myanmar_Thai_border_gate on 19th January.

No 1Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge on Myanmar-Thai Border was reopened on 12 January.

Those who are visiting Myanmar through Thai - Myanmar border gate must be screened for Covid-19 by RDT method as usual and it will cost 15,000 kyats individually.

The visitors also need to show the certificate of full dose of Covid-19 vaccination not later than 14 days before entering the country.

Moreover, the visitors need to present health declaration certificate towards the health officer at the border gates.

If the visitors fail to abide by the health measures and directives, they will be taken actions.

In the statement it is also stated that for the travelers, they have to give all costs for laboratory tests and for other medical treatment. However, the diplomats, the responsible personnel from the UN organizations and their family members will be allowed to stay in home quarantine.

For the State-level guests and foreign representatives, they can ask for exemption to the Committee for the Prevention, Control and Treatment of Covid-19 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health at least 5 days in advance.
