Sagaing’s Myinmu immigration office torched by terrorists

The immigration office of Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region was set ablaze on January 19 at an estimated 8 pm. The office is located in Aung Zeyya Ward, Myinmu Township.

Sub-division of Sagaing #PDF, called People’s Army to Fight Dictatorship (PAFD), claimed that they set fire to the ballot documents and computers.

The fire was killed at an estimated 8:50 pm, according to a firefighter from Myinmu Fire Service Department.

Computers, fixed assets and documents were destroyed in the fire, he continued.

Likewise, the #election_commission office of Tamu Township in Sagaing Region was set on fire on January 19.

At present, on-ground population statistics have been taken by the joint teams of the Immigration Department and Union Election Commission across the country. The team members and ward/village administrators were killed by the PDFs. Also, the immigration office and election commission offices were incinerated in recent days.
