Pilgrimage vehicle exploded by PDFs in Central Myanmar; three casualties occur

A #pilgrimage_vehicle coming back from Shwe Sar Yan Pagoda was sabotaged by #PDF_terrorists on March 7 at an estimated 10 pm on the bank of Nathogyi-Myingyan Road in Mandalay Region, according to the statement released by the State Administration Council (SAC).

Nine pilgrims from Thaung Thar Township, Mandalay Region went to Shwe Sar Yan Pagoda located in Patheingyi Township with a small vehicle: Toyota Passo.

When the pilgrims were coming back from the pagoda and arriving 800 meters away from Nyungpinthar Village on the bank of Nathogyi-Myingyan Road, the PDF terrorists blasted the car with the remote bomb; then shot the car with guns, according to the statement.

In the terror incident, three pilgrims including six years old boy Shwe Phone Thit, Nyein Thandar Thin (female), and Than Htike Myo (male) died on the spot from bomb particles and gun shooting.

Two others Shein Yu Latt (male) and Yee Mon (female) were sent to the Myingyan District Public Clinic to provide medical treatment.

Authorities are investigating the terror incidents to seize the committed terrorists.
