Tour destinations getting limited due to crisis despite of increasing domestic travelers

The Chairman of the #Myanmar_Tourism Federation notified that domestic tourism has been arising again but the visiting sites are scarcer than before.
"Compared to the travel records before Covid-19, current domestic tourism has increased just 20 percent. Those visitors mostly travel to safe zone destinations since there aren’t many tour sites as safe for the visitors as before. Visitors (demands) outnumber tour destinations (supplies),” Chairman Naung Naung Han told NP News.
Bagan, Pyin-Oo-Lwin, Kalaw, and Pindaya including the beaches of Chanug Thar and Ngwe Saung are the main visiting sites at the present.
As a matter of fact, usual tour destinations in Sagaing, Magwe, Kachin, and Kayin are getting scared rather than usual situations.
"There are getting fewer numbers of visiting sites in Magwe, Sagaing, Kayin and Kachin. Visitors are choosing the safe zones for their tour destinations,” Naung Naung Han said.
For inbound tourism, more Chinese tourists are entering in March.
Inbound tourism is expected to reduce in April rather than domestic travelers, according to Naung Naung Han. Visitors from Russia have been entering since November and December 2022. The numbers were counted up to hundreds.
