Myanmar signs agreement with Sputnik for media cooperation

Myanmar's state owned newspaper in English edition 'The Global New Light of Myanmar' signed agreement with Russia's Sputnik media agency for collaboration in information, according to the state-owned newspaper of Global New Light of Myanmar which released today (September 6).
The agreement was signed by the two sides on September 5th in Naypyidaw.
During the signing ceremony, the Union Minister Maung Maung Ohn for Ministry of Information delivered opening speech that Myanmar-Russia diplomatic relations initiated on 18 February 1948, and till now reaching 75th anniversary on 18 February 2023.
The Union minister remarked that through cooperation with the international news agency, Myanmar journalists will have chances to study various techniques for journalism. In addition, both sides can mutually exchange their views on the art of the journalism.
