Myanmar uses Yuan in payment for Russia for oil before kyats-ruble agreement

Myanmar is reportedly using Yuan for the payment of Russian oil before achieving the agreement on direct kyats-ruble transaction, the Union Minister Kan Zaw for Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar addressed at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok.
The Union Minister Kan Zaw said, "We are using yuan and not [paying] with rubles at this moment. But we are trying to make the kyat-ruble agreement [on the mutual conversion] … [the agreement] is going [to be signed] very soon," as per Sputnik’s updated news.
In addition, the union minister also highlighted that Myanmar would conclude an agreement with Russia on tourism at the sidelines of the EEF.
