Newly recorded flood in Bago Region moved nearly 20,000 flood victims to 41 rescue camps, as per the report from Bago Region government.
Due to the heavy rain, the water level breaks record during October 7- 10.
At present, flood occurred all around the whole Bago City in addition to 8 villages in surrounding, as per report.
Nearly 20 thousand people from a total of 4547 household were recused at 41 refugee camps.
In matters related to Bago flood, Myanmar Fire Services Department is providing assistance with 14 lifeboats and a large number of troops, and other social assistance organizations in the country are also providing assistance and relief.
Bago City's river water level is 880 cm, and it rose to 1004 cm as a new record yesterday (October 9).
At 6:30 am on October 10, the water level of the Bago River started decreasing slightly, but it is still at 1,001 cm, according to a statement from the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology.
