China Foundation for Rural Development marks 8th anniversary with significant contributions to socioeconomic development in Myanmar

The China Foundation for Rural Development (CFRD) Myanmar Office reportedly provided benefits to over 556,000 citizens in Myanmar, according to Mr. Chen Hongtao, the Executive Director of the CFRD.
He addressed it in his speech in Yangon on December 5th for the 8th anniversary celebration of it.
He mentioned that the CFRD has undertaken seven projects in Myanmar in three key sectors: improved education, alleviation of hunger, and access to clean water.
Mr. Chen Hongtao stated, "The contribution amounts to 133.4 million USD, benefiting over 556,000 people. Our commitment extends towards supporting Myanmar in achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals by 2030."
Ms. Cao Jing, the Chargé d’affaires ad interim at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Myanmar, expressed that China is actively collaborating with Myanmar across multiple sectors and implementing various beneficial initiatives for the country.
Furthermore, aided by the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation, over 100 projects have been executed to foster the socioeconomic development of Myanmar.
In a meeting with U Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for the Union Government Office 2, and Mr. Chen Hongtao, Executive Director of the China Foundation for Rural Development (CFRD), U Ko Ko Hlaing acknowledged that the foundation has made significant contributions to the education sector and the socioeconomic well-being of Myanmar.
The CFRD is one of the Chinese-funded charities that is assisting in health, education, and regional development in Myanmar.
