Mongla NDAA pledges to be involved in safeguarding Myanmar-China border stability

The Mongla armed groups NDAA of the Special Region 4 of Shan State disclosed that the NDAA will actively be involved in safeguarding the region of Myanmar-China to ensure stability, according to U Kyi Myint, the General Secretary of the NDAA.

In addition, the NDAA also affirms it will make a steadfast effort to get a self-administered zone by combing the Silu, Mongla, and Nampan areas through peaceful means.

U Kyi Myint reportedly told the abovementioned messages during the annual meeting of the Special Region 4 for the year 2023 that was held on 27 December.

The Vice-chairman of the NDAA U San Pae also mentioned that the NDAA will carry out resolving the challenges and tasks to combat the drug cases. He also gave instructions with regard to building a good and strong defence for the security of Special Region 4.

The NDAA was involved in the peace talks hosted by the State Administration Council during these years.

The NDAA has stated, in previous peace talks with the SAC, that it will continue to preserve the national unity and the persistence of the country’s sovereignty without seceding from the nation.

The three northern terrorists’ alliance – MNDAA, TNLA, and AA commenced the military assault namely ‘Operation 1027’ on 27 October in northern Shan State.
