Mai Mai Seng – a Christian devotee KIA female personnel - posted photos in which she was wearing shoes on the historic Seinlong Mountain Pagoda on 1 September. None of the Christian association has yet issued the objection statement on it as of 6 September.

The post was viral within a day on social sites increasing bad comments since she is one of the Top-ten contestants of the Myanmar Idol Season 2 and a well-known contestant in the mainland.

The aggressive KIA female personnel writes in her post that “The historic Seinlong Mountain, owned by Kachin people, is now free from military personnel.”

However, the Seinlong Mountain located in Momauk Township, Bamao District was the territory originally lived by the Buddhist Shanni ethnics, which later forcibly occupied by the Kachin people after the area was demarcated within the Kachin State.

This disgracing manner by the KIA member truly insulted the Buddhists in Myanmar. However, the associations that represent the Christian society have been keeping silent on the issue or no apology is made.
