SAC organizes Industrial Development Commission

The State Administration Council (SAC) announced on 18 December that the Industrial Development Commission has been formed with 16 members.
The Industrial Development Commission will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications Lt-Gen Mya Htun Oo, a for Industry. Deputy Minister for Industry U Yin Maung Nyunt will serve as the secretary. Dr. Charlie Than, Union Minister for Industry, will serve as the commission's vice-chair U Aye Win, chairman of the Union of Myanmar Federation Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) is also involved as a member.
Other members include U Khin Maung Yee, Union Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation; U Nyan Htun, Union Minister of the Ministry of Electric Power; U Ko Ko Lwin, Union Minister of the Ministry of Energy; Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, Union Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology; U Myo Thant, Union Minister of the Ministry of Construction; Major General Toe Yi, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs; Daw Than Than Win, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Planning and Finance; Dr. Wah Wah Maung, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations; U Myint Soe, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development; U Win Shein, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Labour; U Min Min, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Commerce; and Major General Zaw Naing Oo, Director of the Military Engineering Corps Office at the Ministry of Defence.
The duties and powers of the Industrial Development Commission will be separately declared by the SAC to accelerate the development of the industrial sector
