Myanmar firmly stands ‘One-China’ principle together with China

The Naypyidaw Administration repeats its continuous support of China’s One-China principle regarding the regional affairs.
State Administration Council’s spokesperson Major General Zaw Min Tun told this message during the press conference held today (August 17) in Naypyidaw.
“Myanmar understands Pelosi’s sudden visit to Taiwan is definitely violating China’s One-China policy. Her visit may impact the stability of regional countries,” Major General Zaw Min Tun said.
Naypyidaw supports the recent release of China’s new white paper on Taiwan from three aspects; being a neighboring country, valuing the two nations’ Pauk-Paw relationship, and as a strategic partner, Major General Zaw Min Tun added.
