Naypyidaw allows external envoys to meet with stakeholders except defendants

The State Administration Council (SAC) has already open channels for the external envoys meeting with respective actor from all spectrums in respect with the country’s ongoing political dilemma especially from ethnic armed groups and political grounds.
Naypyidaw’s spokesperson Major General Zaw Min Tun said, “We allowed and arranged for the special envoy to meet with ethnic armed forces, peace delegations and representatives of the political parties. The only restriction we imposed is that apart from the defendants who are on court trial at present, we assisted every step to have them met with the rest actors.”
The spokesperson addressed this information yesterday (August 18) press conference held in Naypyidaw regarding the country’s coordination on ASEAN five-point census.
The government already talked and agreed on delivering humanitarian aids from the AHA center with relevant bodies; and made agreements as per the country’s standard operating procedures to proceed delivering humanitarian assistance, continued Major General Zaw Min Tun, saying “No one can overwhelm a nation’s rules and procedures.”
