Dr. Tluang Cung Thang did not join the civil disobedience movement after 2021 political transition though many of his same batch medical officers did. He was reportedly frequently bullied for failing to join the CDM among friends.
“He enjoys and loves his professional life caring patients. However, when the political situations changed, most of his friends the CDM but he didn’t. Therefore, he was frequently bullied and blamed by his friends for continuing his medical services for the patients. We’ve learned that he was pressured by both sides,” a source close to him to NP News.
Dr. Tluang Cung Thang arranged to go trip within this week together with the family, the source continued.
He was charismatic to the city people, said the source saying that the doctor is generous and kind. He has been serving the medical head of the Falam Public Hospital for many years.
The doctor was born in Hakha, Chin State. He learned master degree for medical specialties in Korea for three years. After his study in abroad, he came back to Myanmar to serve for the public health. He served at Matupi Hospital before Falam Public Hospital.
