Over 40m USD of FDI invested in Bago in October

Bago Region received 41.505 million USD of foreign investments for October 2022, according to Bago Region Chief Minister Myo Swe Win.
The Chief Minister addressed it during his Regional Investment Coordination meeting on 28th October.
The ministry is conducting regional development programs by fully utilizing the revenues that are earned from investments. The investments, in turn, assist in creating job opportunities for the locals.
Therefore, there are a total of 132.926 million USD of foreign direct investments and 64908.215 million kyats of domestic investments were invested in Bago Region starting from 1st February 2021.
“Moreover, tax exemptions on import within time framework are granted to the investors in order to import necessary machinery so as to improve investments and productivities,” the Chief Minister added.
Figures say a total of 7518 people have got employment from both foreign and local investments in Bago Region starting from 1st February 2021.
Chief Minister Myo Swe Win also urged to coordinate in fulfilling the development matters of foreign direct investment and local investment by constructing more industries in industrial zones within Pegu region.
