The Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) as well as the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services #Vice-Senior_General_Soe_Win pointed out that errors and mistakes that occurred in various processes related to population, immigration and registration of national identity cards impact negative effects on the implementation of the e-governance.

He addressed this message during the meeting on ‘#Voter_List Preparation for #Election’ that was held in #Naypyidaw yesterday (November 10).

There are more than 52 million populations as per the statistics that were resulted and the latest updated in the first phase of scrutinizing the ‘Naing-4’ process for getting accurate voter lists. More than 500,000 individuals are using more than one Citizenship Scrutiny Card (CSC) while over 100,000 others filled incomplete data though they have the CSCs, Vice-Senior General Soe Win said.

He continued that the abovementioned errors occurred in previous successive government regimes for various reasons, and these may even backfire in the e-government processes.

A total of 13 million households have been issued and verified the household registration form 66/6 at present, Vice-Senior General Soe Win mentioned in the meeting.

Again, he continued that over 22 million persons do not have CSC despite of being listed and named in their form 66/6 while other over 14 million persons above age 18 failed to fill their CSC numbers in their form 66/6.

All those errors, mistakes and inaccuracies have been just identified by scrutinizing processes on population, voter lists and related matters by the current government.

“By doing so, the correct voter lists will comply for the successful convening of the free and fair multi-party democratic #general_election organized by Union Election Commission,” he said.
