Four parties applied party registration as of Feb 10

It has been four political parties that have submitted applications for party establishment, registration and renewing their legal statuses as the political parties at the Union Election Commission as of February 10 for the upcoming election.
The Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) submitted the renewal of party registration at the UEC on February 1 in accordance with Section 25 of the #Political_Parties_Registration_Law.
As per the state-owned newspaper, Federal Democratic Party (FDP) submitted application for the party registration and establishment at the UEC in accordance with Section 3 of the Political Parties Registration Law on February 7.
The State Administration Council enacted a new law for the political party’s registration on January 26, 2023 under Law No. 15/2023. The bylaws for the Political Parties Registration Law were issued by the UEC on January 31 under Order No. 10/2023 and Notification No. 2/2023 and 3/2023.
On February 8, Myanmar People’s Democratic Party (MPD) submitted application for renewing the party registration at the UEC in accordance with Section 25 of the Political Parties Registration Law on February 8.
On February 9, Union Democracy Party submitted application for the party registration and establishment at the UEC in accordance with Section 3 of the Political Parties Registration Law.
As per information, it has been confirmed that the USDP will run nationwide in the upcoming election.
