Senior General Min Aung Hlaing highlights Myanmar's engagement in LMC meeting

The Fourth Lancang Mekong Cooperation Leaders’ Meeting took place on 25 December. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing actively engaged in the meeting through a video conference.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Premier Li Qiang of China co-chaired the meeting.
During the meeting, he revealed that Myanmar has benefited from 106 specially-funded projects totaling US$31.6 million since 2017, significantly contributing to the nation's socioeconomic development.
Showing a welcome to the establishment of Lancang Mekong tourism cities and the development and partnership of Lancang Mekong aviation travels, Senior General also stressed the importance of mutual assistance among member countries, emphasizing the need to accelerate the implementation of LMC initiatives.
Regional cooperation in the rule of law to combat transnational organized crimes, cybercrimes, and terrorism, was highlighted as the pivotal role of the Lancang Mekong Security and Rule of Law Cooperation Centre.
The Nay Pyi Taw Declaration, the Lancang Mekong Cooperation Plan of Action (2023-27), and the Joint Initiative on the Lancang Mekong Cooperation Innovation Corridor Development were released by the meeting.
