The Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC), Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, acknowledged that armed conflicts and hostilities have expanded into urban areas, leading to an escalation of operational battlefields.

He admitted it during his speech at the ceremony to confer Tatmadaw gallantry medals on recipients at Zeyathiri Beikman in Naypyidaw on 4th January.

Senior General acknowledged that the multifaceted nature of the conflict led to hostilities occurring not only in remote areas but also in urban centers. Consequently, the scope of operational fields is steadily expanding day by day.

He additionally mentioned that deliberate attacks from the media aim to fracture unity among ethnic groups, between the government and its people, and between the people and the military, employing technical assistance to do so.

Furthermore, Myanmar Military's auxiliary forces, the female security members, should persist in enhancing their commitment to nationalism, exhibiting resilience while upholding the honor of both family and military.

Presently, hostilities are escalating as ethnic armed groups and PDF engage in sabotage activities in states and regions, including the detonation of civilian infrastructures such as roads, bridges, railways, security outposts, and various buildings in Northern Shan State, Bago Region, Kayin State and Kayah State.
