Operation 1027 moves to Rakhine from Shan State

The three terrorist alliance group (Kokang – MNDAA, Ta’ang TNLA, Rakhine AA) released a statement on 21 January stating that the Operation 1027 has moving from Shan State to other territories.
The Operation 1027 that commenced in Shan State on 27 October had now temporarily agreed for ceasefire with the Tatmadaw on 11 January. However, the same group created military assaults in Rakhine State.
With regard to the battles in Rakhine State, an experienced politician commented, “The local people will be affected by the conflict again. They have to leave the town or the cultivation fields they have grown. Locals will experience food shortage since the transportation channels have been blocked, commodities such as onions and chillies cannot to be sent. Another thing is that the conflict tension is high in the paddy harvesting time.”
The Rakhine insurgents AA launched conflicts in Rakhine State on 13 November last year.
Reports suggest that the PDF terrorists are also involved in the ongoing Rakhine conflict from the AA side.
