Thingyan (or) the Water Festival comes in April featuring the typical meaningful April of Myanmar.

Traditions play the key role in sustaining the civilization. As oppose to the globalization, culturally rich nations try to preserve their deep-rooted cultures, traditions, customs and festivals while some nations copy others’. Meanwhile, the globalists make efforts to contaminate nations’ traditions when they come to destroy the existence of pure-blooded races.

It has been five years that Myanmar’s deeply rooted Thingyan Festival has not been active and it’s been trying to maintain amid threats since 2020.

In 2020, with Covid-19 pandemic, the National League for Democracy government banned to celebrate the Thingyan Festival across cities and towns. It was the first ever silent Water Festival in Myanmar throughout the history.

Dating back to the bygone era, especially in the State Law and Order Restoration Council and the State Peace and Development Council terms in 1990s and 2000s, the west-bloc propagandists such as VOA, BBC and RFA always tried to portray the images of dullness in Thingyan Festival in their news and photos although Thingyan Festival was highly trended and the most active in those years 2000s except bombings in 2010 by the anti-government terrorists who they claimed themselves as pro-democracy students.

On 15 April 2010, the middle day of Thingyan Festival, three separate blasts occurred in front of the X2O water splashing pavilion near to Kandawgyi Lake, where hundreds of people were enjoying and celebrating the Water Festival. The blasts killed 10 people and injured 178 others.

Turning back to the State Administration Council (SAC) ruling years, Thingyan becomes targeted by the puppets of the west-bloc. Those who claimed themselves as the pro-democracy entities threaten in various ways the public not to enjoy or celebrate the Water Festival. What is more, the terrorists plot to explode the pavilions and pandals. On the other hand, the government seeks every possible means to hold the traditional Water Festival in towns and cities.

In 2021, due to the enormous destructive waves by the opposition entities, innocent civilians were not dare to participate and enjoy the festival. Commencing from 2022, the SAC government make its best effort to hold the festival with tight security. In Yangon, the Yangon Mayor Pavilion (the Yangon City Central Pavilion) and the People’s Square Water Festival are the major sites for the public to enjoy the festival with splashing pandals and entertainment concerts.

This year 2024 marks the third year of the SAC striving to celebrate the traditional Water Festival amid the threats of terroristic entities. Starting from 2022, terrorists who planned to plot bombings in Yangon and other towns and cities were arrested before Thingyan Festival. In fact, the SAC tightens security and inspections especially in Yangon and Mandalay ahead of Thingyan Festival days to prevent terrorists’ destructive plots which will kill a lot of civilians for enjoying the traditional festival.

In Myanmar, with freedom of religions and beliefs, Burmese people especially Buddhists never threat or disrespect the holy days of other religions. The Burmese people never ruin the auspicious days of other religions like Christmas, Eid al-Adha, Deepavali or Kayin New Year. People who believe in other religions can enjoy happily their religious days.

Sadly though, not only Thingyan (the Water Festival), the so-called prodemocratic barbarians always threatens the public not to celebrate the Buddhist-related auspicious days. Those barbarians blame the public for visiting the pagodas, monasteries, temples and stupas on the full moons of Kason, Warso, Thidingyut, and Tazaungdine. Bomb blasted on those full moon days by the prodemocratic terrorists.

At present, Myanmar’s typical and oldest Water Festival in Southeast Asia, Thingyan, is becoming subjected to be ruined by the globalists, terrorists and West-bloc’s chess pieces.
