Myanmar will send 27 workers to Russia as part of pilot project

According to people close to Russian recruitment agencies, 27 more Myanmar workers will be sent to Russia as a pilot project in the coming days.
Of the 38 Myanmar workers allowed to be sent to Russia as part of the Pilot Project, 11 workers were initially sent on the evening of October 23.
The 38 Myanmar nationals will work as construction workers in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. They will receive a salary of 250,000 rubles, which is equivalent to about 10 million kyats.
“They are hiring at the highest salary due to the need for workers, but the normal salary is around $800 to $2,000. We will send another 27 on Sunday. In total, only 38 have been allowed as a pilot project. We don’t know about the other 600. They are waiting for the permission to leave on October 26 or 29,” a source close to the Russian recruitment industry told The Statesman.
It is reported that out of the 38 Myanmar workers, the remaining 27 workers have currently applied for departure permits and are preparing to leave between October 26 and 29.
A total of 54 Myanmar workers were also sent to Russia for the first time in March and April under the pilot project , and preparations, including language training, are currently underway to enable the deployment of female workers as well.
