Leader of the Information Team of the State Administration Council Major General Zaw Min Tun confirmed that Tatmadaw will continue serving its main duties when a free and fair general election has been held across the country.
He told the information on April 27 during the press conference held in Naypyidaw.
“We are the interim government. Again, we are trying to convene the election freely and fairly in every territory across the country in accord with the term ‘General Election’. After that, we will continue serving our main duties,” he said.
The SAC is performing for peace, tranquility, and development currently.
“As we are the interim government, we have our own visions and missions. We carry out for the peace process. The next government will carry out for the country’s future development. I honestly admit that we do not have plans for the regarding issue,” said Major General Zaw Min Tun.
