ASEAN envoy’s second visit likely to meet with head of State, EAOs, political parties

Prak Sokhonn, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)'s special envoy to Myanmar, has arrived at the Yangon International Airport yesterday evening (June 29).
During the visit, the envoy is possibly to meet with Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, ethnic armed forces, Peace Process Steering Team and political parties, according to Major General Zaw Min Tun.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the special envoy will meet in Naypyidaw on June 30.
“On June 30, the special envoy will meet with cabinet members, and Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. What is more, we have offered him to be contributed in the peace process as the ASEAN special envoy. We have arranged him to meet with some EAOs and political parties,” said Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun.
However, arranged meeting with which EAOs and political parties have not yet disclosed.
ASEAN special envoy Cambodia Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn recently urged the authorities to return Aung San Suu Kyi to the prior captive place from the prison before this visit.
