Army Chief meets with Royal Thai Army delegate upon bilateral borderline stability

State Administration Council Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with the delegation led by Lt-Gen Apichet Suesat of the Royal Thai Army at the guest hall of Zeyathiri Villa in Naypyidaw on 29 June and held discussions on stability and tranquility of Myanmar-Thailand border areas.

It is reported that during the discussion they hold talks on the stability and tranquility of the border areas, prevalence of laws and orders, coordination between the two countries for anti-narcotic measures and defense affairs to make sure construction a strong military coordination by the two countries to promote stability, tranquility and development at the borderlines to eliminate the terror acts.

Concerning the return of CDM staff, students and youths into the legal fold, Thailand will assist in their border territory for necessary tactics and measures, the Royal Thai Army discussed.

According to the SAC information team, the 34th meeting of the Thailand-Myanmar Regional Border Committee was recently hosted in Myanmar and both parties signed on the agreements from the Committee meeting.
