Disclaim the responsibility of the insurgent KNDF for the terror attack against the Myanmar National Airlines passenger flight yesterday is unacceptable and the investigation process must go, Major General Zaw Min Tun said.
State Administration Council’s Spokesperson Major General Zaw Min Tun told this during an interview with the State-own media ‘Myawaddy’ this afternoon (October 1).
The spokesperson said “Shooting passenger flight is a war crime,” continuing that “the world doesn’t accept such crime against humanity. Therefore, they deny responsibility for it.”
The Karenni Nationalities Defense Forces (KNDF): an allied group of Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP) and PDF refused responsibility for the yesterday terror attack. Also, the west-oriented and revolutionary allied media tried to conceal this war crime military operation against the civilians in unison.
The MNA passenger flight ‘XY-AML’ with 63 passengers that is flying between Yangon-Naypyidaw-Loikaw-Yangon routinely was shot by a terrorist sniper yesterday (September 30) morning when the airplane was crossing into the territory of Kayah State about to land at the Loikaw Airport.
The bullet penetrated into the aircraft through the fuselage as the sniper man reportedly fired from the ridge since the plane has to fly a bit low when running those areas. A man was injured in the incident.
“They must take responsibility for it. The investigation must do. They cannot deny without processing an investigation. They have to conduct a thorough probe into the incident if their troops at the bottom line and the PDF that they are controlling committed this war crime,” Major General Zaw Min Tun said referring to the KNPP.
As a matter of fact, the KNDF has attacked the Loikaw Airport with four 107 mm rockets in December 2021 from the cemetery near Bardoe Village in Daw Paw Kale Village tract in the west of Loikaw Township.
