Chinese Business Group in partnership with Myanmar Business Entrepreneurs proposed to establish a plan for a direct flight schedule between Yangon and #Chongqing for uplifting the bilateral trade routes, #cultural_exchange, and #tourism sector.

The business entrepreneurs from tourism, gems, and agricultural sectors from both countries highlighted it during the online meeting that was held on January 13 between Myanmar’s Ministry of Commerce and the Government of Dazu District of Chongqing Province, PRC.

“Now, China has re-opened the tourism sector in either inbound or outbound. Therefore, we discussed and urged to establish direct flights between Chongqing and Myanmar so as to expand the travel and tourism development,” Kyaw Moe, chief executive officer of Blue Ocean Star Resort and Travel Company told NP News.

Cultural heritage is another resource in Myanmar to attract global tourists for promoting the country’s travel and tourism industry, according to Kyaw Moe.

He said, “Dazu District has a series of Mahāyāna sculptures and carvings dating back to one thousand years ago. We also have such heritages in #Powintaung, especially in Yinmarbin, Sagaing Region. Buddha sculptures in rock-cut cave shrines that exist in Yinmarbin and surrounding areas in Monywa were just later 100 years than that of Bagan. Those heritages are another type of tour destination.”

Located in Northern Myanmar, the Buddhist cave complex Powintaung exists on the western bank of the Chindwin River. It has nearly one thousand statues of Buddha with rock cave shrines dating back to the 13th century.

Chinese tourists, at present after re-commencing the traveling, enter Myanmar through airlines and border crossings.
