States and regions across the country including Yangon will get more chilling #weather for the next two days due to the frozen wind originating from the high-pressure areas from China and other parts, the director of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology Hla Tun said.

“Because strong and icy wind from the high-pressure areas from the north and China makes us colder these days,” he said.

However, the weather in Yangon and some areas aren’t expected to get colder than now though the cold weather will be continuing in late January.

Current weather temperature at Yangon temperature is 20°C in the early morning and 27°C in the daytime; Naypyidaw 15 °C in the morning; Pyin-Oo-Lwin 9 °C; and Nagaland 7 °C in the early morning.

Temperatures at night time in Kachin, Sagaing, Shan, Chin, Kayah and the upper part of the country are much lower.
