Today (March 15), the Pa-O community with thousands of Pa-O civilians including monks staged demonstration to condemn the mass murder by the #terrorists_KNDF_PDF in Taunggyi, Shan State.

Thousands of #Pa_O_ethnic civilians joined the demonstration to condemn the massacre in which Pa-O Buddhist monks and Pa-O ethnic civilians were brutally slaughtered by terrorists KNDF and PDF.

During the demonstration, the Pa-O community demanded for the immediate withdrawal of KNDF/PDF from their region for the sake of peace and stability in the region. The demonstrators also said “No to purposeful creation of armed conflicts in their region”.

They also held the slogans saying “No More Bloodshed on Our Sanghas and Pa-O People”, “No Disinform and Manipulating Vest Interest Biased Media”, “No internal and external destructive instigators”, “No Terrorists who robbed Properties of Pa-O people” and “Stop using Local Ethnic People as Human Shields”

One of the Pa-O Buddhist Sanghas raised the questions during the demonstration saying that “The massacre in Nam Nain was not done by Myanmar Military or PNA. It is done by KNDF, the militant terrorist. It is so clear. Here I want to raise the question to those who are denying the truth. If the Myanmar Military committed the massacre including the presiding Abbot of Nam Nain Monastery, if it is conducted by PNA, why did they choose Nam Nain? That is the proven question.”

The PNO also said that Taung Mae Thin village, Lone Pyin village, Pin Pann Village and Nam Nain village are included in Lone Pyin Village tract in Pinlaung Township. Pinlaung is located in the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone. The KNDF/PDF terrorists invaded to these villages on 23rd February.

Soon after the villages were invaded, three Buddha Sanghas from Nam Nain monastery and more than 20 Pa-O ethnic civilians were brutally slaughtered by KNDF/PDF terrorists.
