People’s Party summits applications for party registration

The People’s Party led by a former 88 generation student Ko Ko Gyi summited to register the renewal of political party at the Union Election Commission (UEC).
Secretary of the PP, Kyaw Lin, confirmed to NP News that the party has submitted for registration at the commission on March 24.
People’s Party told that it will run for the election at the Union level and will organize the nationwide. It applied registration with 17 founding members.
The National Unity Democratic Party (NUDP) which was led by Maubin U Sein Win, the ex-NLD member
joined and merged with the People’s Party; and is expected to organize the party nationwide.
There have been over 40 political parties that have registered at the UEC.
The deadline for the registration date is March 28, 2023.
