Two More Political Parties Granted Party Registration

Two ethnic parties have been approved party registration for the upcoming election by the Union Election Commission yesterday (May 4), as per the announcement made by the UEC.
The UEC announced that Pa-O National Organization (PNO) Party and Mro Ethnic Party were allowed to register under Section 9 of the Political Parties Registration Law on 4th May 2023.
These two ethnic parties have registered to carry out political activities only within the region or state.
Up to today, altogether five political parties have been allowed to established by UEC because they were found to comply with the political parties’ registration law and bylaws enacted by the State Administration Council (SAC).
Similarly, as of today, eleven former political parties have been allowed to register under Section 9 of the Political Parties Registration Law by UEC.
